Register at the Cycle Zydeco web site. ($290; this gets you some meals, evening entertainment, maps and cue sheets, and tent or gym camping for each night)
	Decide if you will be renting a bike or shipping your bike. Cycle Zydeco has information on shipping your bike. If you're shipping, you can pack your bike yourself or have a bike store do it. I haven't been able to find a bike store in Lafayette or Baton Rouge to rent from. I found some stored in New Orleans which might rent.
	Find sponsors. It is most helpful if you have some information about sarcoma; the following sites might be helpful. Sarcoma.net summary The Sarcoma Foundation of American information Sarcoma Alliance information

	Pack your equipment together. what you need can be found on Cycle Zydeco's FAQ.
	Join us for the ride.  If this is your first multi-day bike tour, these tips might help.
	Collect the donations and send them in. Checks should to "Columbia University Cancer Research" and the memo should say "Mary Louise Keohan Sarcoma Research Fund".
