Michele's notes on visit with me during 8th cycle

I came in while you were in the shower. Wee Teck was loading movies on your laptop and we discussed the various chick movies in the collection. After you were done, I gave you your gift. A healing ritual candle and a ritual candle set from illuminations. We talked about the candles I had from the collection and whether I did the invocations or not.

Tom seemed very interested in it and promised that he would not burn the candles until you came home. I also gave you an individual chocolate raspberry cake. You said you would eat it when you got home and were feeling better. We talked about the horrible traffic trying to get to the GWB upper level. There was a 50 minute wait. Wee Teck said he did an illegal maneuver to get to the lower level. I had considered the same maneuver but I had my son in the car. Wee Teck and I agreed that I had to be a role model for him.

You told me about Terri being reassigned, and the recent deaths of the people in the support group. I told you about my first week being alone in the house and how the first couple of days were harder than I expected. Wee Teck and I were kicked out when the nurse came in to give you your drugs.

You asked if Wee Teck or I were heading to the tunnel and could we give Tom a lift. Wee Teck was meeting friends for dinner and I was heading over to the east side. Tom said that he would take the train. (sorry Tom!)

After Wee Teck left, I told you that my son was in the TV area down the hall. He did not want to come in and does not like hospitals. I told you about his stays in the hospital and dozens of ER visits as a small boy suffering from severe asthma. We talked about your not having a negative impression of hospitals until now.
