Greeting card ideas

I have received a number of greeting cards in the past few months, and have frequently found the sentiments to be wrong; e.g., "So sorry to hear you're not too well", right after I got very good news. This is my attempt at developing cancer-friendly greeting card sentiments; feel free to contribute by sending me your own!!

I'm aware that you heard it's metastasized
And unlike everyone else, you weren't too surprised
But I truly believe
That up science's sleeve
There's more ammo than those folks have realized!

The news seems pretty glum,
It's left me mostly numb.
I can't quite seem to finish this rhyme,
Except to hope you'll have plenty of time
To tease me that it doesn't end properly.

in this fast paced life

to let ourselves be loved

While waiting for results, the time passes slow,
It's like getting stuck outside in cold wet snow,
So we hope this card will help some of the time go,
and whatever the results, we love you, you know.
